There's a lot of confused and confusing architecture going up around the world, one example of which, is this Virginia
MUSEUM OF ART
whose designers must have figured that if they provided a white half-shell like those of the much-admired
SYDNEY OPERA
plus a glass-type pyramid like the equally-admired-one at the Louvre......while then adding some very solid brown (today's "in" cement color) chunks of heavy concrete to this assortment of mismatched styles, they couldn't possibly fail to impress their client.

I have referred to this very sad and total lack of architectural greatness, in:
